There is no magic formula for growing in your relationship with Christ. The reality is, God has given us everything we need to faithfully and obediently follow Him.
Here is my simple formula
- Be sure you have been born again. Believing in Jesus is not enough; you must also trust in the power of the Gospel to save you from your sin and give you a new life in Christ. I encourage you to carefully examine the Gospel and trust in the assurance of your salvation.
- What is Saving Faith – A clear presentation of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
- Love the Bible, read the Bible and meditate upon the Bible. Read the Bible daily and begin living out the truths of Scripture.
- Pray often. Talk some and listen more! Praying is not just telling God what you need, but rather listening to God’s will for your life. Make your communion with God a daily practice.
- Make Church a really big deal. Find a God-Glorifying, Bible-Centered, and Disciple-Making Church and attend faithfully.
- Serve others. Realize that life is not just about you. Look for ways to help and encourage others.
- Share the good news of the Gospel with others. Share your faith in Christ with others. A great way to start is telling others the impact Christ has had on your life. You can also turn most conversations to Gospel by inviting others to worship with you at your church.
