My sermon notes for Sunday morning, July 20th. Remember, these are my personal study notes and not a manuscript of the sermon. They are provided as an outline each week for our Tabernacle Church family. We provide the preaching each week through YouTube by Sunday afternoon. The What Now:
1. Not every building that claims to be a church actually is one. It’s important to evaluate their pulpit (preaching and teaching), doctrinal statement, and faithfulness to the Word of God. “At least we are going somewhere” is not enough – we need to consider these factors carefully.
2. I desire to live peacefully with all people (Romans 12:14-21), but I will not compromise truth in leading my family or church. I cannot control the world’s actions, but I can control what God has entrusted to me. 2 Timothy 1:14; 1 Thessalonians 2:4
3. We need to take 2 Timothy 3:1-17 to heart. SOLA SCRIPTURA
